May Techniques class!

Our May Techniques class will feature some great techniques that are perfect for masculine cards and graduation! I also have a feminine version of each too!  We will also be using mostly retiring sets as a fond fairwell to some loved stamp sets!  And...out with the old and in with the NEW In colors!!

Cards are 5 for $9.00 with an optional punch art card (coming soon) for $1.00!

 Please RSVP as soon as possible which day you can attend! I need to know if I need to set up a table or not, so please let me know if you can attend either:

or Friday May 11th at 10am

(please note that Friday you must be done by 1:30, so please plan to come by 10am! I have to get things prepared for my daughters dress rehearsal!!)

Weathered Woodgrain Fathers Day card using the retiring set Totally Tool:

And here is the feminine version, featuring a weathered woodgrain window using the retiring set Herb Expressions:

And a super fun card technique called Spring Loaded! Love this one! This one uses acetate and features the NEW In colors 2012-2013 of Midnight Muse and Summer Starfruit. I got this awesome idea from Lyssa!

The next Spring Loaded card uses paper instead of acetate to pop out those pretty butterflies from the retiring stamp set Flight of the Butterfly! You will also notice the grass which is stamped in Gumball green, another great NEW In color! The grass stamp is one of my favorites with the beautiful flower stamp from the retiring set Inspired by Nature! I also stamped the butterflies with Midnight Muse, Summer Starfruit, Raspberry Ripple and the beautiful Primrose Petals!  This card was done at convention and I received the instructions from: Diana Gibbs

And my favorite technique this month has to be Spirelli!!  It is soooo easy! I thought it'd be hard to do but once I SAW it done on a youtube video it was a piece of cake! I can't wait to teach it to you!

We will be doing one more punch art card as an option for just a $1.00!  There are two options, one is a purse using the retiring Round tab punch---oh I will miss that one!! And square punches for a Graduation cap!

 

April Punch Art!

Here are the sneak peeks at the cards for our April Punch art class! We meet every 3 months and will do 5 cards for $7.00! These will include instructions printed for you to take home!  Please let me know if you can join us!  This Thursday at 10am or at 6:30pm!

Spring Fling Craft Show-Tomorrow!

Come and see me at the Spring Fling Craft Show at the 4-H Park in Bluffton tomorrow-Sunday April 22nd from Noon-5pm!  There are 47 vendors, a Mobile Reptile Zoo outside! There will be hot dogs, wraps, chips, pop, water, tea, and baked goods available.

We are also going to have a table set up to collect items for the Wells Co. Food Bank.

The Canine Crossroads Rescue, will have a place for donations, as well as a place for monetary donations at their booth.  They are also going to have dogs that are available for adoption at the show!

I have Handmade Greeting Cards, Mothers Day Gifts and Teacher Thank you gifts for sale.  Cards include Chocolate, coffee and tea cards as well!  This is an awesome time to stock up on your cards as they are all 50% off at just $1.00!! Chocolate, tea and coffee are $1.50 or 2 for $2.00!

April Showers of Classes!

This months techniques will be all about Watercoloring!  We will be doing 5 cards and one optional punch art Tulip card! Check them out below! PLEASE RSVP for your spot!  Thursday night at 6:30pm, or Friday at 10am!

Watercoloring with different tools and our fancy fold-I got the idea from an old Stampin Success magazine featuring one of my favorite old retired sets Love is a circle.  I recreated it a bit to show it like a vine with different flowers! :) I call it the Flower Grows Fancy fold, it is combined with 4 different ways to watercolor each flower-pastel watercoloring, watercolor pencils and crayons and the squeeze the ink pad trick! Come to class to see how this works! I did the creative part, my son helped with the mechanical engineering! Thanks Caleb! He has the best smile!

And Open, I used the awesome set for Mothers day from the big catalog, Messages for Mom along with the gorgeous flowers from Awash with Flowers and Loved ones for the MOM on the front:

These next cards feature the gorgeous technique called Marker Layering! This is just so gorgeous. These card flowers were cased from the splitcoast stampers tutorial and Zindorf of SCS.  I used the sets Bordering on Romance (from the Occasions mini) and Flower fancy (from the big catalog) and the sentiments from Loving thoughts and Tea Shoppe, these two sets are from the Occasions mini which ends at the end of April.

These next two cards use the technique Watercolor Highlighting, it is just so easy and makes the cards look so elegant. I also added on the background of the thank you card, an easy technique with water, you simply wet the paper, wad it up, then spread it out to dry. It adds such an interesting texture to a card and looks almost fabric like!  Again I used the stamp set from the Occasions Mini called Bordering Romance for the first card and the all occasion set from the big catalog called Easy Events.

MARCHING IN CHALKS TECHNIQUES CLASS!

We are chalking it up again this week, using Stampin Pastels Chalks!

Pulled Pastels, featuring a tie dyed brushed look and daubed circles. Also you will notice a colored flower, black rhinestone and pink pearl! How'd that happen? Come to class to add this to your fun list of tips and techniques!

Chalk dragging: featuring my own "wet chalk dragging" and simple rainbow chalk dragging! You will notice a multi-colored ribbon on the kite card, come to class to add this fun to do to your stamping bag of tricks!

Okay, I just had to change the rainbow chalk dragging! I had already seen the Argyle stamping with the Send me soaring stamp set and looked in vain to find the original idea.  But I just had to add this to this card! And of course with a boy or girl card! Love this Argyle look, it is what sent me soaring for this stamp set! Love the versatility of this set!

The Bendy Fold card! We will be adding fun, easy fold cards to our technique months as well as a punch art card option.  Punch art card will be posted later!

Simply Scrappin Cards and Scrapbook fun class!

Class meets on Thursday from 9:30 am to 2pm and again at 6pm.  Then on Friday from 9:30 am to 2pm.

Frosty January Techniques!

Check these out! Just a little taste of the 5 cards we are doing for our techniques class tomorrow and Friday and one bonus card! I did have to change some of the techniques from my original list because I found that I did not have the reinkers I needed!

December Techniques-Christmas cards!

I had a great time creating these cards over the weekend.  I think my favorite is the Bettina embossing! So elegant and old fashioned!

My technique class is this week:
